Step 1 – Account login
Log in to Facebook account and click on right top corner down arrow button. You will see the option of Create Ads. Click on it then it will redirect to Facebook Ad Manager if you have created Facebook ad manager account. If not then it will ask you to create a new ad manager account just follow the steps and create an account.
Step 2 – Create Campaign
Now you are into Facebook Ad manage account, here you have to select lead generation in consideration objectives.
Click on it than below it will ask you to give the name of the campaign, just write the name of the Facebook lead generation campaign so that you can remember by campaign name what kind of ad you created.
Step 3 – Create new Ad Set
In this section, you need to select your page on which you wish to create an ad, target customer details, ad placement and budgets of the ad campaign. So below you can see the screenshot:
Ad Set Name – In one ad campaign you can create multiple ads sets so here you have to give the name of the ad campaign. If you click on the advanced ad campaign setting then you can create the name from existing information.
Page – Select the page for which you wish to create an ad or by clicking on the + button then you can create a new page.
Audience – In this section, you have to select the target customer details. Here it gives you two option: create a new audience or Use a saved audience.
Let’s understand create new audience section:
Custom Audience: It gives you 3 option: all, Custom audience & Lookalike audience. You can create a custom audience from here, Gives you option to create a custom audience from customer file, website traffic, app activity, Offline activity, Engagement.
Here you need to select based on your need, and then it will ask you to follow some steps to complete the setup. Just follow then you will be able to create a custom audience in Facebook ads.
Location: Here you can select the target customer location, you can target based on the city, state, country. You can also target the customer who is living in this location, recently in the location, traveling to this location or everyone.
Below you will find the option to upload bulk location to your adset, you need to click on it and upload the list from here.
Age: Select the target customer age group, minimum age group you can select is 18 and maximum 65+. Based on your product or service you need to decide and select the age group.
Gender: Some ads you don’t want to display to some customers so you can choose the target gender like male, female or both. Some products like lipstick, pad, etc are the female product so if you target female then you will get higher ROI in your campaign.
Language: Select the language for which you want to target, if you are running an ad for larger customer group then you might select English but you are running local ads then it’s good to target local language.
Detailed Targeting: It’s one of the very important parts of customer targeting, here you can select the customer based on demographics, interest, behavior, etc. Here if you click on suggestion then it will also give you suggestions on whom you can target. So be careful and check the “Audience Size” and based on that select the audience size.
If you wish to exclude some people from your ads then you can select below “Exclude People” option. Again it will give you option whom you want to exclude.
Connections: Select the customer on whom you want to show your ads, you can select target customers from Facebook Ads, Apps, and Events. You can select them or their friends or you can exclude them.
Once you are done with the audience selection then make sure to click on “Save this Audience”.
Placement: This section allows you to select where you want to show your ads on Facebook, In feeds, instant article, Instagram, stories, messenger, etc. It gives you to two option:
Automatic Placement: Here Facebook will select the best place to show your ads and it decides through its own artificial intelligence system.
Edit Placement: If you select edit placement then here it will ask your first to select the device type: Mobile, Desktop or All Device. Then below it will give you options, you need to select based on your requirements.
Budget & Schedule:
Setting up the right budget with the proper schedule will give you a higher return on your ads. In this option you can select the daily budget, bid and when you want to start and end the ads.
Budget: In this section, you can select the daily budget you wish to spend or lifetime budget of the ads. You can select the “Run my ad continually starting today” or “set a start and end date” of the ad campaign. Below it will give you some suggestions about your spending per week.
Bid Amount: Select the highest amount you want to pay for per lead you want to pay to the Facebook advertisement from the manual option. Automatic option will be decided by Facebook itself, you don’t have control over your per lead pay.
Audience Size Indicator:
It’s an indicator of the way you see on your old analogy bike, car or scooter speed. In Facebook lead ads audience size indicator will display how many audiences you have selected. Whether it is specific or in broadside and below it will also display the potential size of your target customer based on your section.
Below it will also give you the details on your budget and target customer how much total reach per day you will get, per day leads it will generate.
Choose wisely all the options and keep eye on the indicator.
Step 4 – Ad Creation
In this stage you need to create an ad to display to customers, here you need an image and other ad creation text, headings, etc.
Ad Name – Give the name of your ad.
Format – Select the format of ad you want to create. Here it gives you 4 options carousel, single image, single video, Slideshow. You need to select anyone from them based on your objectives.
Based on your section it will give you options to create an ad. In the above image, I selected single image.
Images: Here it will give you options to select the image you want to use for ads. If you click on Browse Library then you can select the image from your Facebook page, from the Facebook image stock image and upload the images.
Here in the above image, you have seen image border is in yellow color, because the image I used it contains lots of text, so avoid using high text into the ad image.
Text: In this section, you need to create a text ad, just write the text, headline, display links, newsfeed link descriptions, and select call to action button. I selected signup option here if you wish to track then use conversation tracking option.
Facebook Lead Capture Form:
Now the next step is to create lead capture form, Click on “+ New Form” and fill the form. Here you have to select the questions you want to ask or the forms you want your customer to be filled. You can also say it lead capture form on Facebook and you are done, click on top “Save” button.
Before clicking on “confirm” must click on review button to verify and check the details before submitting. Its one of the very important section of facebook lead generation ads, which impact on your per lead cost.
Step 5 – Review Ad
Before click on confirm and sending the ad to approve or display to customers, make sure you review and if you wish to change anything you can edit and then confirm.
If you find everything is fine then click on confirm. Make sure you will be reviewing each and everything for facebook lead ads. Once you click on confirm your review process starts by facebook bot or team and you will see this kind of message.
Step 6 – Wait for Review & then your ad will start at the scheduled time. After few hours you will get a notification that your ad got approved.
